CHROMIUM (008)
Rich and complex, Chromium is a 50:50 blend of two of our earlier Barrel-Aged Stouts, BA Theatricality and Deception, and BA Titanium which was aged for a further 3 months in a Lowland Scotch Whisky barrel for this 2024 release. BA Chromium was carefully blended in late 2023 and then matured in tank for a further 9 months. Expect full-bodied layers of coffee and chocolate notes, playfully followed by hints of peaty Scotch, caramel, raisin and spice.

FALLACY (009):
With complex layered notes of raisin, dried red fruits and rich dark chocolate, our ninth Barrel Aged beer, Fallacy, is a 50:50 blend of Titanium, one of our BA releases from 2023, that has been further barrel aged for 12 months in a Highland Scotch barrel and an unreleased Imperial Stout brewed in 2020 specifically for our Barrel series. These blended beers have spent considerable time in multiple barrels, which has created a rich and flavoursome profile with a velvety mouthfeel and a subtle roasted finish.

Barrel Aged Stouts play a big part in the origin story of Double-Barrelled, with our co-founders Mike & Luci in love with Barrel-Aged beers on their travels 10 years ago.

Our Barrel Series takes our complex Imperial Stout base and ages it in bourbon and scotch barrels, letting the interaction between spirit, wood and stout form layers of full-bodied and rich flavour profiles.

Our Barrel Aged Beers are very much a passion project (although if Mike had his way it would be all we brewed!), with a lot of time and efforts
involved. We blend, bottle, wax dip and label these beers all by hand.

These beers are brewed to be savoured, shared, aged, and enjoyed over time.
