Takeouts, Click & Collect & growler fills

Takeaway pints, can takeouts, Click and Collect and growler fills open again! 

Feel free to pop-up our taproom for takeaway pints, growler fills, for click & collect orders and for you to pick up some DB cans:

Click and collect

Orders will be available for collection between the following hours only:

FRIDAY: 3PM-8PM

SATURDAYS: 2PM-8PM

All orders must be placed online first and “click and collect” must have been selected. We are still operating local deliveries if you would like us to come to us. You can also pick up DB cans on the day, but to guarantee your order or to order guest cans, it must be done online.

You will be asked to collect from the roller shutter and adhere to any queues in a socially distanced manner marked out by kegs.

If you do not adhere to this, come in a group or put our customers or team at risk, you will be asked to leave. Please come in household groups of max 2 persons.

Growler Fills 

Sadly we do not have our own growlers as yet (they are soon to arrive!!), but you can bring your own glass or steel 1 or 2L marked container to the brewery to be filled.  Please thoroughly clean and sanitise your growler before bringing it to us to be filled.

Growler fill list for the weekend will be updated on the Thursday by 5pm.

List is subject to change based on availability.

As we will be undertaking additional sanitation of the growlers prior to filling, please expect that these may take a little while to fill. You do not need to pre-schedule a time for growlers to be filled, a queuing system will be in place.

Growler fills times are the same as click and collect;

FRIDAY: 3PM-8PM

SATURDAY: 2PM-8PM

You are also welcome to purchase DB cans for takeaway if you haven’t pre-ordered! Some guest cans must be ordered online first.

Deliveries

When can I expect my delivery? 

Local deliveries – Now FRIDAYS only 

For all orders made before Thursday 8pm they will be delivered on the Friday.

We do not work on bank holidays and therefore the schedule will be pushed back a day for deliveries.

National (courier) deliveries

For orders made between Monday-Thursday 1pm, we will ship your order on the same day, for next working day delivery.

For orders made between Thursday 1pm and Sunday, we will ship your order on the next working day.

Our courier, APC, will email you directly with tracking details. They are working on a 1-2 day delivery schedule currently.

Preferred ordering quanties

Whilst you can order in any quantities you’d like, if you are ordering from us the best way to ensure you beer gets to you in the best condition, is by ordering in quantities to fit our shipper boxes.

Our boxes can fit:

12s, 15s and 24s perfectly. So when placing your order, you may wish to think about the box it’s arriving in if you are able 🙂

Alternatively, if ordering for click and collect, we also have recyclable can carriers for 6 cans, to make it easy to order 6 or 12 cans and walk away with them!

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver to England, Wales and Mainland Scotland.  For shipping outside of these areas but within the UK & Ireland please contact us at cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk as prices and delivery times vary.

Unfortunately we do not deliver outside the UK & Ireland as yet.

How much is delivery?

National – All orders under £50 are charged £5.99 for delivery, orders over £50 are free delivery.

Local – All orders over £30 will be eligible for free Friday delivery for the following postcodes only: RG1, RG2, RG4, RG5, RG6, RG8, RG30, RG31.

During the COVID-19 crisis, all local orders will be fulfilled by “non-contact” deliveries – we will ring the doorbell but the parcel will be left on your doorstep and we will watch you collect it.

If you are local and need your beer before Friday, please let us know and we will see what we can do.

Sending a gift directly ? 

If you put a note in the “gifts” section, we can make sure we don’t include the invoice and also hand write the note that you have written.

FAQS

Who can order?

We can only sell and deliver to people over the age of 18.  We reserve the right to refuse the delivery if the person receiving the order looks under 25 and is unable to provide appropriate identification.

What do I do if there is a problem with my order?

Please contact cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk and we will endeavour to get back to you within 2 working days.

How can I return my order?

Beer- we are not able to offer refunds on this due to the nature of the product.  If your product arrives damaged please contact cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk or call us on 01189428390

When will “Beer XYZ” be back in stock?

With the exception of Parka and Ding, all our beers are seasonal one offs, and therefore unless under unusual circumstances, it is likely when we are sold out, the beer will not be brewed again.

Why do you say “drink fresh + keep cold”? 

To ensure the beer is in the best condition when you drink it, we recommend keeping your beers in the fridge at all times at home. We also would recommend drinking your beers within 3 months, if not sooner. This is due to hop deterioration and the fact that we do not pasteurise our beer. This helps you get the best taste, and most like drinking at the brewery.

COVID-19 times: When will you be adding new DB stock?

At the moment we will be usually adding new stock once a week, most likely by Wednesday, for weekend delivery.

Reading Food Bank collections

One of the consequences of people both staying at home and stockpiling is that our local Foodbank is short of donations. If you have non-perishable food that you are willing spare during this difficult time, we are happy to collect it and take it to the food bank on your behalf. The specific items they are short of are:

Tinned Vegetables: Tinned potatoes: Instant Mash: Tinned Spaghetti:

Tinned Ready Meals i.e., vegetable curry, meat curry, chilli, meatballs, pies, beans and sausages, ravioli, macaroni cheese.

Tinned Fruit: Tinned Meat:

Tea Bags – foil bags (boxes)

Microwave pouch rice

Size 4 & 5 nappies

Gluten free items

 

How to donate

When you place an order, please leave a “food to collect” note under the “order notes” section on checkout

Please prepare the non-perishable food you wish to donate in a bag.

When we come to deliver your parcel, as per our standard local shipping, we will leave the parcel on your doorstep and stand back until we have seen you have collected it.

We will also leave a second, empty open cardboard box for you to place your food item bag in it.

Once you have place the items, please shut the door + we will collect the box and deliver it to the food bank within the week.

Please do not donate if you are suffering any symptoms of Coronavirus and are in self isolation . Please safe your donations, and we can collect in a couple of weeks

If you have a large food donation, but do not want to place a beer order, please contact us at cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk and we may be able to collect from you on one of our delivery routes.
