When can I expect my delivery?

If you order before 2pm on a Thursday you will receive your order the next day.

Orders placed on Thursday after 2pm -Sunday will be shipped on Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

Local deliveries may be made later in the evening due to working on a skeleton team of staff. If this is a problem, please let us know at cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk

Please note: During the COVID-19 Epidemic, we cannot guarantee next day delivery times as courier services and our team have skeleton staff and are overwhelmed.

Who can order?

We can only sell and deliver to people over the age of 18.  We reserve the right to refuse the delivery if the person receiving the order looks under 25 and is unable to provide appropriate identification.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver to England, Wales and Mainland Scotland.  For shipping outside of these areas but within the UK & Ireland please contact us at cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk as prices and delivery times vary.

Unfortunately we do not deliver outside the UK & Ireland as yet.

How much is delivery?

National – All orders under £50 are charged £5.99 for delivery, orders over £50 are free delivery.

Local – All orders over £30 will be eligible for free delivery for the following postcodes only: RG1, RG4, RG5, RG6, RG30, RG31. Please do not try and “trick” the system by putting a postcode outside of these areas. You will only delay the processing of your order.

During the COVID-19 crisis, all local orders will be fulfilled by “non-contact” deliveries – we will ring the doorbell but the parcel will be left on your doorstep and we will watch you collect it.

Please let us know if you have a “safe place”.

If you are a key worker and unlikely to be in the house during deliveries, please feel free to message cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk and we can look into a better time for you.

What do I do if there is a problem with my order?

How can I return my order?

Beer- we are not able to offer refunds on this due to the nature of the product.  If your product arrives damaged please contact cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk or call us on 01189428390

When will “Beer XYZ” be back in stock?

With the exception of Parka, all our beers are seasonal one offs, and therefore unless under unusual circumstances, it is likely when we are sold out, the beer will not be brewed again.

Why do you say “drink fresh + keep cold”? 

To ensure the beer is in the best condition when you drink it, we recommend keeping your beers in the fridge at all times at home. We also would recommend drinking your beers within 3 months, if not sooner. This is due to hop deterioration and the fact that we do not pasteurise our beer. This helps you get the best taste, and most like drinking at the brewery.

Can I order guest stock?

We are looking to add guest beers from other independent UK breweries to the website shortly.

Reading Food Bank collections

One of the consequences of people both staying at home and stockpiling is that our local Foodbank is short of donations. If you have non-perishable food that you are willing spare during this difficult time, we are happy to collect it and take it to the food bank on your behalf. The specific items they are short of are:

Tinned Vegetables: Tinned potatoes: Instant Mash: Tinned Spaghetti:

Tinned Ready Meals i.e., vegetable curry, meat curry, chilli, meatballs, pies, beans and sausages, ravioli, macaroni cheese.

Tinned Fruit: Tinned Meat:

Tea Bags – foil bags (boxes)

Microwave pouch rice

Size 4 & 5 nappies

Gluten free items

 

How to donate

When you place an order, please leave a “food to collect” note under the “order notes” section on checkout

Please prepare the non-perishable food you wish to donate in a bag.

When we come to deliver your parcel, as per our standard local shipping, we will leave the parcel on your doorstep and stand back until we have seen you have collected it.

We will also leave a second, empty open cardboard box for you to place your food item bag in it.

Once you have place the items, please shut the door + we will collect the box and deliver it to the food bank within the week.

Please do not donate if you are suffering any symptoms of Coronavirus and are in self isolation . Please safe your donations, and we can collect in a couple of weeks

If you have a large food donation, but do not want to place a beer order, please contact us at cheers@doublebarrelled.co.uk and we may be able to collect from you on one of our delivery routes.
